In 1966, she began her teaching career in Lockney, Texas, where she spent two years and produced a variety show titled "Review of Reviews." Not only did she perform in her own production, but she also taught 40 private students, noting that “people were hungry for music.” In 1968, she took on the role of high school choir director in Lovington, where she served for 13 years and directed productions such as "Up, Up and Away," "Music Man," and "Oklahoma."
After returning to her birthplace, Mrs. B accepted the position of Director for the Carlsbad Senior High Choir, dedicating the next 18 years to this role. Her unwavering commitment to music education remained evident throughout her distinguished career.
